Humanity At Lost

- When we think Massacres and killings is no longer a thing to feel outrageous about...
- When supporting killings of innocent people suddenly becomes an obligation.
- When we begin to support the killings of innocent people because of our twisted form of thinking that supporting evil done on others is a form of obligation to our religion, tribe, race or whatever tag we choose to wear.
*When they are no longer human but Palestinians, Muslims, Africans,Christians,...so why should you care? Afterall they are your rival religiously, culturally or tribe so they might as well continue to live under constant bombardment and injustice.
- When the fight for power and influence becomes more precious and valuable than human life
-When the ever growing rush for amassing wealth becomes the core value of mankind and human life takes back stage.
Indeed our world is lost and humanity no where to be found.

Resilience Of The Nigerian Youths

Dear Nigerian Leaders, We Youths Deserve Some Accolades Not Insults.

Many of us grew up in a nation(Nigeria) that has continuously denied us our rights and refused to pave way for a brighter future for us… we have suffered and toiled years after years under the harsh sun to make ends meet  in a nation that does not recognize hard work nor sincerity of intent  but only recognizes and rewards CORRUPTION AND PRIVILEGES- privileges which only a few like Nigerian politicians and other elites in the nation have been granted.

We are conductors, barrow pushers, hawkers, athletes, entrepreneurs, ICT gurus, bankers, scientist et al…amidst all the disasters your generation have left for us, we continue to make due with and prospering beyond expectation- to envy of many non-Nigerians at home and abroad.
Do many of us Youths truly feel entitled and waiting for handouts as some politicians continue to suggest?

I guess you already know the answer to that but incase you don’t, I would respectfully tell you NO, we do not feel entitled  nor waiting for handouts; There is NO SANE Nigerian Youth that waits for handouts from our government…it just doesn’t make sense when we know very well we have over the years been cursed with leaders(From bottom to top- reps, senators, governors and Presidents et al) who are not only incompetent and insensitive to our plights but have somehow vowed to continue to make life a ‘living hell’.

So remind us how entitled we feel again?

And as for those who choose not to go to school… How dare any of you self serving leaders blame them for choosing not to go?

None of you in government or the past leaders have the moral right to blame them when after graduating  they end up not getting a job nor having a better life they deserve. What is equally frustrating is that those of us who decide to go to school end up living like prisoners in over crowded school accommodation with toilets that is sure to give us diseases. Our classroom lacks a conducive infrastructure and our laboratory lacks equipment needed to teach us. Many of us end up finishing school without getting a practical knowledge of what is taught because of incompetent teachers and lack of practicals due to poor or no equipments for science experiments.

Need I talk about how getting admission seems like waiting for a ticket to heaven? People like me spent about 3 years continuously waiting to get admission but being denied; not because I did not meet the grades but because the system is flawed and corrupt. After some years I ended up getting admission into a polytechnic but we went on strike at least twice every year… of course when you attend a very annoying school like mine, you tend to realize that strike has become a law and part of the curriculum. I spent roughly 4 years doing a 2years National diploma program due to strike.
So remind me why you should blame those who choose not to go to school? There is simply nothing about our education system that makes it attractive for anyone not even I.

If anyone in Nigeria feels entitled it is You politicians-  those self serving senators and reps who do not do anything but sit all day shouting Ai and Nay and then collect millions in name of salary and other attachments and also end up embezzling more; they are those who feel entitled and lazy.
My name is Idris Chijioke Muhammad Ngene, I am a Nigerian Youth from Enugu state and I am not Lazy.

At age 16 I had already started hustling and making small money, by the time I was in my first year in higher institution I was already able to pay for my school fees and other expenses in school without waiting for my parents.

At age 17 amidst so many odds my book was selected by a ukrainian publisher to be published after trying hard to get a Nigerian publisher to publish it, at age 20 I had started talking of building my own company and laying foundations for its success which I subsequently started even with the many ups and downs. At age 23 I founded a charity I named Youths For prosperity aimed at helping Nigerian youths grow financially, teaching them several skills and discussing importance of peaceful coexistence. I achieved all this in a nation that continues to work against us(Nigerians).  And there are many like me out there who at young age like me have fought to achieve their goals. We may not be where we want to be or achieved what we want to but at least some of us are taking practical steps

You don’t go about as leaders of a nation talking ill about us… even if some truth is contained in it, you should tell us when you organize an interactive session with the youths but you wouldn't organize community sessions because you know too well how angry the youths are.
Words of a leader has severe impact on things and this is why many nations try to paint good image of their people even when the reverse may be the case.
Today as a Nigerian youth entrepreneur  I continue to struggle to make my business a success because there just isn't help from government nor  business friendly policies to help us succeed. Even as a young writer, it is tough. If anyone feels entitled or Privileged it is the elites and your kids…

People like your wives and children who publishes a book and has in attendance ministers, ex heads of state and plenty elites, how then wont they be make millions from book launch? Even when I am sure what I have written over the years has similar  or even more value. But which minister will attend? Or attract others? You see? We are not lazy, we just don’t have the privileges your kind has.
When your daughters decides to organize exhibition they end up making millions not because their work is awesome but because of privileges they have.

When you or your children are sick they are flown abroad for treatment just like when the President's son was injured in bike accident he flies out to Germany and when he was in Nigeria it was the minister of health that was personally attending to him while before he landed in Germany top Nigerian  government diplomats were waiting to receive him. So again, how are we entitled and waiting for oil money?

Every nation has lazy people but they do not go about at home and abroad to shout it as if the whole youths are lazy especially when you haven't been helping them.
In Uk and UsA many of their people do not want to work and waits for government handouts yet they do not come to Nigeria and say it during press conference. Even with all this, we Youths continue to prosper amidst disastrous leadership.

So how again have we felt entitled or pampered?

Disturbing Aproach Of Biafran Agitators

Some IPOB members have slowly turned to terrorist- this much I am now certain of. We must all speak out against injustice or any sort of evil least it consumes us all...

I was watching a video clip this morning, the video was shot in aba. A lady in a moving bus was recording men as they set fire on tires and destroyed tippers and also big cargo vehicles typically driven by the hausas that transport products from one state to another.

In this video, the bus the lady was in got stopped about 4 times(before the record ended) and some men would approach and search for anyone of hausa origin. You can hear voices from the background saying: 'Owere onye hausa no eba"..forgive my igbo writing but it means no hausa people in the bus.. that particular bus got stopped several times as they drove. Basically, they are searching for hausas and God knows what will happen when they are found..

I used to plead with people not to call IPOB members terrorist not because i support Biafra but because I believed at first that their agitation seemed peaceful but what I saw on the clip was anything but peaceful... are this illiterate and dumb human being trying to cause war in Nigeria? Do you know how many igbos like myself living in hausa state or other part of Nigeria? What will happen to igbos if there was a retaliation or break out of war?

This motor garage illitrate IPOB members wants to cause war in Nigeria and their so called leader, Mr Kanu who holds British citizenship will simply fly out to UK if this dumb people finally achieves their aim of war.. and what is funny is that most biafran agitators talking about violence agitators or attacking hausas do not live in Nigeria. When they comment on news section and you view their profile you will see they are either in thailand, UK or other country.. which means they would instigate violence at home while they are safe abroad.

I have constantly written against violence and cautioned Nigerians on the path they are slowly going towards. Now some miscreants wants to ruin the peace we have here in the nation.

Please a special request to all hausa people reading this or people of other tribes: "please and please keep on having restraint and also preach to your kins to do same. Don't fall for their trick and attack igbos. Many agitators would gladly want you to attack igbos so violence on a large scale would kick start"... Usually I prefer videos like this are kept secret so it doesn't cause retaliation and I prefer people avoid sharing images of attack so it doesn't also cause retaliation but since it is all over the Internet, I believe the best approach is calming down situations by assuring hausas that it is a few idiots that is causing this problem. Have in mind that majority of igbos do not in any way support this psychos and their violent approach. We condemn such evils in full force...I have already started seeing status of hausas being furious and warning of impending retaliation. Please have restraint. And also preach to your kins. Let us not lose the peace we have. When some people finally succeed in creating war, perhaps only then would we cherish the peace we have long taken for granted. Haven't we learnt from Rwanda? South Sudan? DCR? War or violence is never the way out of issues like this. We have this IPOB members in place of Damn fools trying to cause chaos.

The Dangers Of Fake New

There has been a lot of debate about the dangers of fake news and the importance to stop it spread but no matter how often this debates comes up, the dangers can never be over emphasized. From Africa to Asia to the Americas or the Arab world, fake new spread continue to be a threat to peace and stability. Using Nigeria as a case study, fake news has in one way or another led to deaths of innocent people, destruction of properties and unrest in communities. About 4years ago in north central state of Kaduna state, there was a fake new making it round the state that some disgruntled Muslim youths were killing Christians in predominantly Muslim part of the state... Of course 2 hours later there was a so called reprisal attack by Christian youths on Muslims in predominantly Christian side of the state. This led to the state government imposing a curfew to try and contain any further violence in the nation.
What is most shameful and pathetic is when popular news outlets or online media engage in such fake news without proper verifications or investigation... It may be about who reports the news first to this media houses but for other victims, it means either losing their lives, that of a family member or destruction of properties. Fake news no doubt is a great danger that needs to be stopped and accomplice sanctioned for aiding it's spread.

Most recently is the Biafran issues rocking Nigeria, and once again fake news have been implored for propaganda purposes. There are many fake news spreading around the Internet with claims that the president have ordered a military crackdown and cleansing of the ethnic igbo's because the military is from the north.. Such fake new risk causing chaos and hate in the nation.

In reality, The whole shout and talk of over militarization of the South East because of those agitating succession is nothing but a hoax disguise to further cause discontent and anger among the populace. But writers like I continue to campaign and educate citizens to strive  in other not to fall into the hands of the mischief makers least we end up with the words: 'had I know' being the last thing we would say.
Peace lovers must desist from inflammatory statements capable of causing unrest or sharing of news without proper verification least they unintentionally aid the spread of fake new... free speech does not in any way mean freedom to be mischievous or cause chaos as many continue to claim censoring of fake news may harm free speech.  The time is ticking and nations must come together to find ways to stop spread of fake news and avoid further unrest or hate that may arise due to fake news spread.

African Youths Race To Change Africa

Picture: "An African Child in rural village"

My Quote: "When your leaders have refused to help you succeed and create prosperity in the nation, it is only wise you take your destiny in your own hands and shame them with your success".

In Nigeria, as children we are bombarded everyday in school about how we are the 'leaders of tomorrow', this seems appealing to us. Some of us are glad that someday when we become adults we can finally take the leadership mantle and help make our nation great.
19years later after graduating from University; that quote slowly seem to be just words that have zero meaning to the old men in the nation.

Mr A who is a President when John, an infant was in day care is still in politics acting as either a Senator or a cabal controlling the sitting president. You see, Mr A was suppose to have made it easy for John's generation to take over from him but all Mr A fought for was to remain in power until he dies and Mr A also intentionally keeps John from prospering so he doesn't have to challenge Mr A's leadership position and to make things worse; all Mr A does is steal money meant for development and leave the nation underdeveloped.

You see, about 10years ago, Youths in Africa who have tried hard to get jobs and live their lives; seeing how that is also very hard due to bad governance; many just settled for simply singing praise songs for politicians who have ruined them so the politicians can give them pennies to eat- That is called, feeding a slave after starving him for so many days just to show him you are in charge.

Fast forward that today and the story is different; while we still have many African Youths still in mental slavery; so many more have stood up- said enough is enough and decided to take their destiny in their own hands.
From Kenya to Ghana, From Nigeria to Ethiopia et al, African Youths are being creative and creating wealth and prosperity for themselves where the government have failed. With no help from the government, they are able to overcome the challenges. Some of this African Youths have realized that if they do not stand up to make their continent great on their own; then their leaders definitely wont as they are selfish and more interested in living Africa under developed for their own selfish interest. You see, in Nigeria, some politicians do not want to build a functioning fuel refinery because then they wont be able to embezzle money in name of fuel importation or help grow agriculture because of how much they steal in the name of rice importation.
Picture: "Eedris Chijioke Ngene engaging Nigerian girls in skill acquisition"

Youths in Kenya are being innovative; creating ways to light up the nation and advancing in technology, Youths in Ghana are moving towards technology development and in Nigeria entrepreneurship, agriculture and ICT development is on the rise. They no longer want to wait for the government to create opportunities for them and most importantly; some of this Youths are also trying hard to create innovative ways to fight poverty, disease and famine- Something the leaders have failed to do.
Picture: "Eedris Chijioke Ngene after engaging in a 1day seminar aimed at empowering students

#IDecidedToFightForAfrica

Just like many other African Youths racing to change the continent, i was determined to also push for change. As a Nigerian Youth; seeing how poverty and Youths unemployment are on the rise, Just like other African Youths seeking progress, i launched a charity skill acquisition program aimed creating wealth and changing lives; this was done without any financial support from government or NGO. It was tough but i believed in the dream i had even when it seemed impossible at that time. Against all odds, i went on to impact hundreds of Nigerian Youths- Girls and Boys alike. Helping them become self employed and pushing them a step away from crime that may occur due to poverty.
Picture: "Eedris Chijoke Ngene teaching students how to produce items for sell"

When some Nigerians lamented recession and poverty; i knew it was time for the Youths to take charge and make a change. Apart from the entrepreneurial program, i went on to launch website that also aims at creating wealth and promoting Nigerian made goods and services...I needed to show Nigerian Youths that if the leaders have failed us; then we must not fail ourselves as once we let the frustration of bad governance get to us; we slowly create a gateway to ruin our life. Many African Youth are racing to change the continent and if you; as an African is still awaiting for when your government helps you.. You might as well give up and crawl back into a hole till eternity.
Picture: "Eedris Chijioke Ngene with some student after a 2days production seminar"

We tell our stories to inspire people so they know that sometimes your dream might seem hard to achieve but it is not impossible. You need to be determined and realize that even if no one helps you; keep being hopeful for someday you will look back and be glad you never gave up.

Picture: "Poor African Child keeping the faith"

Africa is on the rise and the Youths are driving the change with or without their government. Be the Change you seek.
Like i quoted earlier: "When your leaders have refused to help you succeed and create prosperity in the nation, it is only wise you take your destiny in your own hands and shame them with your success"

New African Xenophobia And The Nigerian Story

 #StopXenophobia #TheNigerianProblem #SouthAfrica

Quote:  'We are United by necessity but divided by conspiracies and hate'.

One's country, state, community or Village can be great only when it is allowed it to be.

Sometimes majority of people might want prosperity but it takes a few bad egg to ruin the effort being made by many and using Nigeria as a case study; there is increase intolerance in Nigeria.. Like a wise man said: 'We  are united by necessity and divided by conspiracy, hate, and politics'.

This is why we hate one another a times and then pretend we don't hate ourselves other times. Why don't the hate come to play when we are doing business? Or other issues important to us?  You see! Necessity?

Ebuka of Igbo extraction from Predominantly Christian South Eastern Nigeria is selling raw materials in Predominantly Muslim Northern Nigeria and need Ahmad from the North to make him rich. Adamu of Bureau de change exchanging dollars in East need Chukwuemeka to patronize him..Audu in South West Nigeria wants Olamide to patronize his business. At that point; We laugh and talk; ofcourse we need the business- We need the money flowing.

Then once we are home. Ebuka relaxes in front of his laptop or phone and writes up long hateful speech about Adamu's tribe... how they are useless, how they are terrorist and they do not contribute anything to Nigeria; meanwhile Ebuka's wife is probably in kitchen preparing rice and stew using tomatoes and other ingredients including meat that was made possible by Adamu's tribes effort to feed the nation and Ebuka is probably living in a comfortable house and driving a good car because of Adamu's tribe buying things from him yet they are useless?... Adamu composes about how Ebuka's tribe are kidnappers, cultist and baby factory making it seem like they are all monsters ..Olamide from South West isn't left out. He attacks Ebuka and Adamu's tribe on how they are problem of Nigeria and do not contribute anything but his states economy is very vibrant- courtesy of Ebuka and Audu's people investment In his state.. Ebuka and Adamu then calls Olamide dirty and ritualistic. You see? The trend continues and they succeed in passing their hateful nature to their innocent children.

The next day, Olamide opens up a firm and only Ebuka can give him the services he needs to make it prosperous. He smiles and pretends like just yester-night he wasn't online condemning Ebuka's tribes and generation.

If we can be united by necessity? Why cant we try to also be united by our diversity? Let that which unites us be greater than that which divides us.. but it takes our determination to achieve this. Words are cheap, Action is the real deal!

Hate mongering doesn't just affect the person you are hating; it also affects you..sooner or later; it always comes back to bite you. Sometimes even far harder.
In some part of the Northern Nigeria, clashes between tribes or different religious group occur sometimes. You see, this kind of thing ruins the possibility of violent prone states to be great... Foreign investment is hampered.. Tourism is put on hold and brilliant minds are kept away from developing the state. No one wants to go to place where their business or life is put in danger and those in the state that have potentials flee to find places they can achieve greatness. It takes few minority in this state to ruin the image of majority and the state at large. And no matter the efforts made by the state government(s) to attract investments or tourist(both local and foreign); it is hard.

Now in similar case; We have this in some other parts and on international scene, we have South Africa slowly starting to ruin their image.. The constant Xenophobic attacks on African migrants is threatening to derail years of effort to make South Africa one of the great countries in Africa but how can you be great when you have slowly started to chase brilliant minds, potential developers and investors out of your country?
Call for nationalism is slowly threatening the little efforts made over the years to integrate the world... however, nationalism is relatively new to Africa but increasingly growing in South Africa. We must fight to protect human dignity and right of migrants abroad and most importantly, this fight must start from our own country's with different tribe or religious group hating and being intolerant of one another. In the end; the world is only as good as we want it to be.. When we push for hate and violence; we get it in return. We only blame ourselves for our own problems.

Candidate Trump Vs President Trump

There are many reason why so far candidate Trump have proven through actions that president Trump will be very different.
Candidate Trump was my top choice for the US election. Ofcourse his rhetoric was inciteful just as it was deadly and racist but his stance on many issues was about building wall and keeping USA out of the world(which means less USA influence=less war and violence in the world) and that was what I wanted about him.
You see; candidate Trump did not want United states of America doing much in the world. All he wanted was build a wall around himself and US and also talk about how he wants to make America great again(whatever that means).
For the rest of us in the world; this should have been a welcomed approach(less US influence; more peace for the rest of the world) but for Americans at home; I definitely wouldn't want to be in their shoes as his candidacy divided them morethan it united them and for obvious reasons.
You see; Candidate Trump called Mexicans rapist and murderers, he wanted a complete shut down of Muslims entering USA- he blamed immigrants for all the problems in US and he also wanted to move US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem thereby solidifying that Jerusalem should be capital of Israel(a drastic shift in US mid-east policy). Ofcourse, ideally;  this were all obvious bad policies but that would have shaped the world for good. You see; we had a stagnant situation in the world:
- Middle East and their many destabilized countries; in part due to US meddling
- The Israel-palestine conflict(which was in part; fueling certain problems in mid-east)
- The world wide terrorist network
- The syria stand off...
So much problem but very little will to solve them and in most case; what is presumed to be the political will to solve a particular problem is only a hidden agenda to further fuel the problem for selfish reasons.
The situation we had was one were USA pretends to be your friend and then causes mayhem or even plan their own allies overthrow once they are done with them.
Candidate Trump didn't seem like the hypocrite many USA presidents were. Candidate Trump spoke out his intent no matter how toxic it was; and it meant alerting people around the world on his approach. Other USA president(s) on the other hand pretends to want this but in reality goes on to do other things and cause wars.
When Candidate Trump sang about how he wanted to stop USA meddling and the rest; that ofcourse was music to my ear. And when he wanted a complete shut down of Muslims- that also was nice as it will reshape alliances- which USA alliance with Muslim nations have not really been very good for them. So shutting out Muslims means faster fall of USA empire once Muslim nations stop using the US dollars for trade.
The only thing that makes US economy very strong is because many countries use the US dollars for trade world wide. USA is in debt running in trillions of dollars and the only reason they are not having Europe type of economic melt down is because countries around the world use their US dollars and they know to maintain their economy being stable- countries have to use the usd.
Had Hilary won; she was obviously a continuation of USA policy abroad which have only yielded wars and bloodshed so far. Atleast candidate Trump not wanting USA taking any world role would mean less trouble for the world! But then when Candidate Trump won... He slowly but steadily changed his stance. President Trump maintained candidate Trump many hate rhetoric but not the promised actions:
- His promise to move the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem during his first week quickly changed and he doesn't talk about it anymore. His promise to support Israel illegal settlement building in occupied Palestinian lands also changed when he cautioned israel PM against building it. You see, had President Trump fulfilled Candidate Trump's promise on Isreal; it would have forced European Union to take more hard line stance against Israel and forced more countries to isolate Israel which will force them to go back to finding peace solution sincerely but then President Trump stopped short of fulfilling Candidates Trump promise.

- Then came his promise of Complete and total shut down of Muslims which he never did. Candidate Trump was more vocal in shutting out Muslims but suddenly President Trump came up with a law that only bars people from 7Muslim majority countries for only 90days. You see, had Muslims been totally banned as candidate Trump promised; it will no doubt have greatly reduced American influence and power abroad(which is good news for the world). Now, not only did President Trump fail in candidates Trumps promise, he also went on to continuously find ways to speak about how this isn't a Muslim ban.

- Candidate Trump promised to pull their soldiers from other countries including their major asian allies like South Korea if they do not pay more. Again; good news for the rest of the world but then, President Trump not only maintained their troops presence abroad but also increased the military budget by about 60billion dollars(which is the same budget for Russia military). But all powerful USA military added 60billion dollars to their existing massive military budget; which again raises the question of him fulfilling his many promise.

I really wanted candidate Trump to be a reflection of President Trump, but what we have here is President Trump only taking the hateful and racist nature of candidate Trump but not doing any action he promised. Well, except building the Mexican wall which everyone is still waiting to see him pull it off.
